We will be closed for the first three weeks after the Christmas holidays due to maintenance work in the museum. Between March and July, we welcome many school groups on weekdays, both at the historic site and in the museum. Would you like to visit the museum in peace and quiet during this period? If so, we recommend visiting the museum from 13:00 onwards.

The admission fee includes a shuttle bus to the historic site and an audio tour (Dutch, English or German). A single return ticket for the shuttle bus costs €5.00. You can only pay by debit card at the museum.

Museum café

Our museum café is open daily for hot and cold drinks, fresh sandwiches and a variety of sweet and savoury treats. We also open our terrace during the summer months. You do not need a museum ticket to visit the museum café; hikers and cyclists are also very welcome. Card payments are the only accepted form of payment in the museum and the museum café.

Museum shop

In our museum shop, you will find a wide range of unique souvenirs and books on the history of Camp Westerbork, the Second World War and the Schattenberg residential camp. Some of these items are also available in our online museum shop.

Group visit

Groups of 15 or more people can book an educational programme. During weekends, a guided tour of the historic site can be arranged, with the option of a self-guided visit to the exhibitions either before or after the tour. It is also possible to book lunch and/or refreshments for group visits.

  • The museum café has the same opening hours as the museum:
    Mon–Fri: 10:00–17:00
    Sat/Sun and public holidays: 11:00–17:00

  • No, dogs are not allowed inside the building. Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome. During the summer months, the terrace is open, and dogs (including assistance dogs) are welcome there.

  • Do you have an allergy? Please let us know!

    Our menu includes a range of vegetarian options. We can also provide vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options on request. Please contact us before your visit to discuss the options at info@kampwesterbork.nl.

    You can view the allergen information for our products at the counter. Please ask our staff for this. Your health is important to us. We take great care, but our kitchen is not completely allergen-free and traces may be present.

  • Our entire building is wheelchair accessible and we have a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

  • Groups of up to 10 people are welcome in the museum café without a reservation. Are you with a larger group and would you like to have lunch with us?
